A NOTE FROM THE INDEX

Useful context.
Clear choices.

Choosing software is personal. Your market, data connection and the way you read a chart matter more than a place on a list.

How are tools ranked?

The default Browser & value profile prioritizes software affordability and browser access. The same formula applies to every platform; positions follow documented weighted points with ties shared. Untested speed and unverified features remain unresolved in the total range. These are editorial priorities, not a universal best-platform verdict. Separate category rankings use documented features, whole-number editorial bands and coverage counts; we have not run a comparative hands-on benchmark.

Where does the information come from?

Official vendor pricing pages, documentation and data tariffs, checked on 3 October 2026. Every overview includes a source-linked cost and feature audit, with uncertain or conflicting charges marked. Read the cost guide → This is a shortlist of established tools, not an exhaustive catalog; features and availability can change.

What should I check before subscribing?

Confirm the edition, your exact instruments, data-feed compatibility and the total cost of software, exchange data and add-ons. A browser option does not mean the web version offers every desktop feature. “DOM & tape” includes analysis tools; it does not imply executable DOM order entry. Compare plans and additional costs →

Why isn’t TradingLite listed?

Its official website states that the service has ended. Read the vendor’s notice (opens in a new tab).
